Starry Night

I wanted to make a good gift for one of my best friends and wasn't quite sure what to make so I Googled different crochet projects, and I saw a project someone did where they made a tapestry of the Starry Night painting and I loved that idea! 

In an attempt to make something using my own creativity I didn't look too deeply into that person's creation, so I instead looked up a picture of the actual painting and put out my own attempt to make a graph to follow making my own crochet version of it:

Using the program Aestprite, I was able to put together this graph where each pixel is one sc stitch. I put a yellow boarder around it because I planned to make it look as though it were framed. This following image is the final product of how it came out:

I'm extremely happy with the outcome, and definitely want to make more tapestries and try to involve myself in all steps of the process!
